**Application Template**
BEFORE APPLYING PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU ARE EXPECTED TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTION AS DIRECTED ON THIS PAGE.
What is expected on an application to Callidus? At the time of this writing we have a level requirement of level 80 and 300 AAs. Exceptional players who can show they have good potential may be accepted much lower.
However, for your acceptance into Callidus, we don't rely on whether you have 0 AA's or 20,000 AA's. We don't focus on whether you have every key in the game or none at all. We don't care whether or not you have your epic 3.0 completed and 500,000 hit points or a rusty short sword and 500 hit points. This is because we make things happen. The AAs and gear, while giving a general idea of how well you can progress, are relative.
For all we know, you could have possibly gotten massive power leveling from high level friends, or bought the toon on eBay (not implying that you have).
A low level toon with no gear might be a great player but hasn't played long enough to show his potential. For example, someone level 65 who has played for 2 weeks might be a greater asset than someone 85 in defiant gear who has played for 10 years and still hasn't figured out the basic mechanics of the game.
These things matter:

Most people who type like this do so are either:
1. too drunk to type (and we don't want you on raids or in groups if you are too intoxicated to find the keys on your keyboard) or
2. because they are trying to hide the fact that as an adult, they don't know how to read or write. I do not hate people who can not read or write. I also do not hate quadriplegics, but I would not want one on my football team.
EQ is typically a game for people with at least a 2 digit IQ. Show that you have an IQ greater than plant life and at least make an attempt to type properly, using punctuation and paragraphs as needed.
[/li][li] Your ability to play with others and function as a team. If your only goal in EQ is completing your own objectives without offering to help anyone in return, we don't want you here.

[/li][/ul]
Please copy, complete and post your application on our forums, using your MAIN CHARACTER'S NAME as the thread topic.
Please use your main toon's name as your forum user name for simplicity's sake so we can see who's who. Be as brief as you like - we don't think you want to fill out a 50 page report about your toon, and we don't expect you to, just some basic information.
If you'd like to have your application seen in a timely manner, please let someone know in-game so we know you've applied, as we used to have a dancing monkey that plays cymbals every time someone posts an application, but he slipped on a banana peel and broke his arm, and cannot pick up the cymbals anymore.
We may not post a formal reply like 'Welcome to Callidus' in your thread but unless we reply 'You suck' you can be fairly certain that your post is read and odds are that you'll be approved. ;D
In the body of the message, please include:
1a. Your main character's name/class/race/level/aa's:
1b. If you're a tank class (War/SK/Pal), your AC/HP (If blank we just assume your toon is naked):
2. List any alts that will also be joining Callidus:
3. Are you a monkey with cymbal playing experience and dancing skills? We might have a special opening for you.
4. List all flags/keys your main has starting with The Buried Sea expansion:
5. How long have you played Everquest?
6. Please list all guilds you've been in and your reason for leaving.
7. Do you have all current expansions?
8. Which days and hours do you normally play?
9. Do you have your epic(s)? Which one(s)?
10. Are you the original owner of this character account? If no, please explain.
11. Have your grouped with Callidus before? If so, which event(s) did you attend, or which member(s) have you played with?
12. What clickable/worn effects do you own (ie: EB, lev, see invis, haste, etc)?
13a.Do you wish to raid? (Yes/No)
13b. Can you commit to a minimum of 2 raids a month? (Yes/No)
14. What is more fun?
[-A]. Monster missions
[-B]. Raids
15. What is more fun about raiding?
[-A]. Sitting AFK in the corner while watching TV and collect DKP until it is time to bid on loot
[-B]. Actively participating in the raid and being part of the event
16. Tell us why you're interested in joining Callidus. I hope it's not simply to get the lucrative position of the cymbal playing monkey.
17. Confirm that you've read the guild rules and any additional information you'd like to share.
18a. Have you read the guild rules?
18b. If so... How many DKP do we award per raid target? Note: It isn't cheating if you go back and double check. Read the stinkin' guild rules!
18c. How many raids per month are required?
18d. What do the asterisks next to your name mean in the guild manager?
19. Again I remind everyone that if your forum post doesn't get a formal response, it doesn't necessarily mean that your application has been rejected. It is up to you to follow up the application by contacting a leader/officer in game.
20. If you have any questions about the application questions feel free to contact an officer or leader via e-mail or tell.

These things matter:
- First of all... read the Guild Rules This is not an option. They are there because they are important to us. They are primarily common sense rules which benefit people both in the guild and out. For example, no kill stealing, no ninja looting, and be considerate of people both in the guild and out, which is not only a good idea to get along with your guild members, but also to the general public. This is so that people don't think you're an A-hole, and simply because it is the right thing to do.
You might think you can skip the guild rules because it is mostly common sense, but there are also additional rules such as raid procedures and stuffing the guild bank with useless junk. - Your willingness to post an application. This shows that you are not lazy and that you are willing to take a few minutes of your time to show your commitment. Since we will be getting you keyed/geared for the highest zones in the game the least you could do is post a 5 minute application. It also shows your ability to FOLLOW INSTRUCTION. If you can't answer a simple question such as 'what color is an orange?' you probably won't comprehend raid instruction, and I will question your ability to even function in a casual group setting. Remember - the monkey answered all the questions correctly.
- Your ability to read and write basic English. We do not expect you to have a college degree in communications, or have perfect grammar and spelling, but much of EQ is text based. If you can't type out simple sentences with 3-4 letter characters you probably won't be able to comprehend the complexities of how our guild is run and you will probably get lost. I shouldn't have to 'translate' your text every time you type something just to understand it. We don't think it's 'cute' to intentionally type random garbage like you're texting your 8 year old friends on the phone, and it will be deleted.
How NOT to post an application:
