Raid Rules
As Callidus continues to push through raiding tiers it will be important for our raid force to keep some simple rules in mind. This list is not to be considered completely comprehensive and all raiders should periodically check this thread for further updates.
In all raids it is vital that raid commands are followed promptly and without question. This will help ensure that the raid is working together as well as cut down on any confusion that may arise during some of the more complicated events. In order to be successful we need all raiders to read through all instructions completely and to ask in the appropriate channels if they still have questions before an event has started. Due to the need for clarity during instructions it is crucial that all raiders who are not in charge of the raid stay out of the raid channel. It is also important that if we are currently engaged with a target that any conversations that are not directly concerning the event are kept out of Team Speak. Absolutely no one should be giving out commands in an official raid channel unless specifically asked to in advance.
Some basic rules for all raids will include the following:
• Everyone should shrink unless specific exceptions are given for certain raids.
• No larger than normal illusions unless specifically asked for.
• Pets must be shrunk and kept under control at all times.
• All players and their pets will wait to engage the target until it is called for.
• Raiders should hold off on burns, both soft and full burns, until called for.
• Absolutely no ninja AFKing.
• During raids everyone must take resses as soon as possible, no denying them due to percentage.
• All raiders need to have either GINA for raids, or a complete set of audio triggers.
• All flagged raiders remain in zone until the chest is empty.
One of the biggest concerns we are trying to actively address on our raid nights is speed of movement between events. In order to help speed things up we will be getting into the habit of buffing as soon as the out of combat timer expires and loot is being dealt with. It is important that players do not take extended AFKs during the loot phase. We do need players who are flagged to remain in the zone until the chest is empty, but once it is we need to move quickly to the next target and get prepared.
As stated above this list and some of the rules may change in the future. We welcome any constructive feedback about raid rules, and if you believe you have something important to add please feel free to send Lanis or Dahrken a tell or an e-mail after raiding has completed for the evening. Once you have read this through please send Lanis an in-game mail with the sixth basic rule as the subject.
