**Guild Charter Preface**
No one likes rules, though they must be made to ensure that everything flows smoothly, and stuff gets done. Nothing good can be said about a guild of chaos and disorder where there are no rules, and everyone is doing their own thing, not working together as a team to accomplish things.
However, it is my belief that when rules conflict with progression, common sense should take over and override the rules that have been set. Callidus is a growing guild and the rules may change at any time if it is in the best interest of the guild.
Members are required to do several things. These things are not optional. They include but are not limited to:
- Be considerate of others. Nothing good can be said of a guild full of butt heads who are only out for themselves. Try to refrain from petty arguments. There is enough drama in EQ without having to start more from within the guild. If you can't get along the guild will crumble from the inside out. If told to cool it, you will get one warning. After that, you will probably find yourself looking for another guild.
- Register your account on the forum. This enables you to:
- Read and/or post in the forum. This will keep you up to date on the guild current events, and may even find some useful information. It is also the place where you voice your opinions about things so that changes can be made to the current agenda, to fit our changing needs. The forum is there for a reason. Use it! The forum is also the place where you check your DKP status. it is YOUR responsibility to know your OWN DKP before the raid begins if you wish to bid DKP on items.
- Update your EQ Players profile. This is done simply by clicking a button in game. This will allow us to help get you gear upgrades for those hard-to-find slots. We want you to carry the Callidus tag with pride and not be hindered by gimpy gear.
- Read the guild MOTD. Important info may be posted here.
- Notify the guild leader of anything you may need to help your toon progress. Despite my uberness *flex* ;D I do not read minds, but will do everything I can to help your toon progress, once you've proven your loyalty to the guild. However I will not help you if you show disrespect or show signs that you are going to take our loot today so you can hop on the next guild that comes along tomorrow.
- Have ALL expansions. This rule is kind of loose, but you should at least know that if you only have expansions up to PoP, and we are progressing somewhere else, you probably will not have much success. We will not stop our progress in the higher end zones just to cater to you, because you refuse to buy current expansions, and in your flawed logic reason that we must only group with cliques in guild because we won't come take our level 85 toons to hunt in BoT. While we don't expect you to buy every expansion the day it is released you should at least make some effort to stay somewhat current.
- (This rule has always been in place since the guild was created, whether written or simply enforced in game.)
NO /ANON. /Roleplay is fine. Anons usually take place when someone is up to something sneaky. What is the difference? /Anon will hide your guild tag, and block your current location from showing up in the guild roster. /Roleplay hides your class and level, and blocks non-guild members from seeing where you are. This is perfectly acceptable, if you prefer to keep non-guild members from seeing where you are to harrass you, or to prevent begging for buffs.
If you give me good reason why you should be allowed to be /anon instead of /roleplay, I would like to hear it.
